Authentic items
Only trade genuine items you are entitled to trade. Counterfeit, stolen or misrepresented items are not allowed.
Fair trading
Trade in good faith and honour your agreements.
- Follow through on accepted trades.
- Use BB and SafeTrade as intended.
- Do not manipulate ratings or the marketplace.
Safe interactions
Protect yourself and others during every exchange.
- Use SafeTrade and partner locations where possible.
- Meet safely and confirm items before completing.
- Never share sensitive personal or financial details unnecessarily.
Prohibited behaviour
The following are not allowed on Barter Bucks:
- Fraud, scams or deceptive conduct.
- Illegal, unsafe or restricted goods and services.
- Harassment, threats or abuse.
- Attempts to bypass SafeTrade or escrow.
Reporting concerns
If something feels wrong, report it. You can raise concerns through the Contact page or in-platform reporting tools. Reports help keep the whole community safe.
Enforcement actions
Depending on the situation, we may take action to protect the community.
- A friendly reminder or warning.
- Removal of listings or content.
- Temporary restriction of features.
- Suspension or removal of accounts for serious or repeated breaches.
